3 Tips To Help You Over the Hump
Ok, maybe it is because I like to stir things up a bit. Maybe it is because I like change. Maybe I just like to be contrary or zany for the fun of it all.
However, you cut it, I am embracing the new Facebook Timeline change for Facebook Pages. After all, I was an early adopter of the Facebook Profile Timeline. Then, again, even if I don’t embrace it, what is a person to do? Right? You could protest, but really, do we have the time and energy?
I don’t insist (like I could!) that you like the FB Timeline for Pages as much as I do. Hey, you don’t have to like it at all! But, I can be here for you and offer a couple of tips to help you over the hump, eh? So, let’s look at a couple of things you can tweak on your page while you are getting used to it. Ok?

More and more businesses are using social media to help their businesses grow. Facebook and Twitter are the most used, but there is another site businesses need focus on: Foursquare. Foursquare is a social networking website that allows people to share their location with their friends by checking in at their location. The site has only be around since 2009 but already has over 10 million users. Many people find new businesses by browsing nearby locations and it’s a useful free advertising tool that businesses can use Foursquare to gain more customers.

I was taking a walk down memory lane a few weeks back, as I was perusing through the weekly column that I wrote in the early part of this century. It was called “Web Tips.” (Watch for it, I will post some archives, for fun, on this site. :)) It brought to mind the pre-blog era, when ezines ruled and there was an excitement and newness in the world of the web. In that, there was this new thing called “Search Engine Optimization” (SEO).
I was intrigued by the analytical requirements of SEO. I was fascinated by the ability to reach that first page of search engine results, and the challenge to get there before my competitors!
